Co-operative Fortnight

Be co-operative | As a community

Image:
Intro:

A feeling of community is in decline across the country as people spend less and less time with their neighbours.

What better way to halt the decline in your area by being more co-operative – from simply talking to neighbours to joining a community group or even joining with your community take over a local pub.

There's no end of things you could. Here are some ideas to get you thinking. Be co-operative by:

  • Helping a neighbour
  • Holding a shared meal with neighbours
  • Using or getting involved in your local co-operative
  • Setting up a food co-operative
  • Buying things with neighbours to share – from lawnmowers to solar panels
  • Working with others in the community to take over a pub, shop or building that’s likely to close
